Aquavit for a glam Nordic Afternoon Tea!

A few weeks back I took Timmy K and Ivy to Aquavit where we were treated to the most luxurious afternoon tea. This wasn't your average helping of sarnies and scones, oh no! We were treated to rye crisp-breads of gravlax tartare, shrimp skagen, beef tartare and my favourite, liver pate with cucumber and dill, followed by a cake stand of decedent Nordic treats.

The restaurant itself is gorgeous - beautiful high ceilings, amazing furniture you wish you had in your home and oodles of flowers everywhere.

Ivy (obviously) went for the sweet treats which sent her straight into a sugar coma and resulted in dropping cutlery on repeat, loud shreeking etc. This would've been fine if we were in Eddie Katz or the likes, but was a little on the embarrassing side in this super-smart restaurant.

So yes, Aquavit is a lovely restaurant with great afternoon tea BUT I would suggest it is best for a date and/or girly outing. Not really one for the kids....

We went for the Fika tea which is £27pp and includes a hot drink.

Thanks for having us Aquavit. Sorry for the noise!
