Mark Jordan at the Beach Luxury beachside dining.

On the south coast of Jersey, sandwiched between St Aubin and St Helier.

The vibe

Incredibly photogenic beachside bistro that encapsulates laid-back luxury perfectly.

We loved

We started our visit to Mark Jordan at The Beach with a glass of Champagne. It was a little chilly to sit on the terrace but we had a wonderful beach-facing window table.

The menu is creative and packed with local produce. Chef Mark Jordan certainly brings his Michelin-starred credibility to this beachside eatery!

We started with a sharing board of truffle popcorn, olives, mackerel sundried tomato bite-sized sandwiches, and cucumber anchovy rolls. For my starter I had a lovely squash and pesto risotto - rich in flavour and just the right amount to leave enough space for the remaining courses. My main was an innovative take on a thai fish broth which had cod with herbs in a shallow coconut broth - simply delicious. Desserts got the big thumbs up. The menu changes weekly but if it's on there, I highly recommend the lemon sorbet!

The resaurant also has a great kids' menu and Ivy enjoyed a melon starter, followed by 'posh' fish and chips, with her pick of favourite flavoured ice-cream to finish.
